THE SMALL STUFF, DONE RIGHT

Faucet, Toilet, Garbage Disposal and Fixture Repair in Springdale, Arkansas

Running toilets, dripping faucets, weak showers, jammed disposals and tired supply lines, fixed or replaced the right way.

Chapter 01

A toilet that keeps running and a faucet that won't quit

Most plumbing calls are small, and small is exactly what wears on you. A toilet that keeps running after the flush. A faucet that drips all night. A shower that turns scalding when someone flushes, or one that dribbles when it used to pound. A garbage disposal that hums and won't turn. None of it is an emergency, and all of it is a reason to stop what you're doing.

Behind every one of those is a specific part. A running toilet is usually a worn flapper or a tired fill valve. A dripping faucet is a worn cartridge or seat. A shower that swings hot and cold is a failing cartridge or mixing valve. A jammed disposal often needs the jam cleared and the motor checked. Low pressure at one fixture is often a clogged aerator or a bad supply line, while low pressure everywhere points at something bigger.

In Northwest Arkansas, minerals in the water gum up aerators and cartridges faster than people expect. When a part has been replaced twice and the problem keeps coming back, the water itself is usually part of the story, and we'll tell you so.

Finding the actual part before anything gets swapped

The job starts with diagnosis. We find the part that's really failing instead of replacing fixtures and hoping. If an inexpensive part is the cause, that part is the repair, and we're done. Stith has been doing this since 1965, and Gary's father and uncle started it on a simple idea: do honest work, treat customers right, stand behind every job.

Shelby Albarran wrote on Google that she called with "a unique problem left by another plumber" and that Stith was able to "send a tech out the next day, get us an estimate, and complete the repair the following day." Odd problems are part of the work. We'd rather figure out what's really going on than guess and send you a second bill.

Scheduling goes through the office. Leigh and Kathy take the calls Monday through Saturday, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and they'll ask what the fixture is doing so the right tech and the right parts show up. For anything that can't wait, emergency service is available 24/7 at the same number.

Chapter 03

Repair or replace: when a fixture has had enough

Some fixtures are worth saving and some aren't. A faucet with a good body and a worn cartridge is a repair. A faucet with a corroded body and its third repair is a replacement. The same goes for a cracked toilet, a pitted tub spout or a shower valve that's past rebuilding. We tell you which one it is and why, and you decide.

We also do kitchen and bathroom plumbing for remodels: a new sink, a new vanity, supply lines and shutoffs set the way they should be. If a remodeler is on the job, we work around the other trades so the plumbing is ready when the cabinets and the tile need it to be.

Old galvanized lines and the slow leaks nobody notices

A small leak under a sink doesn't look like much. A drip at a supply line wets a cabinet floor, the particleboard swells, and by the time you smell it the damage is bigger than the part that caused it. We check the lines and shutoff valves under the fixture we're working on, so a slow leak gets caught on a repair call, not a restoration call.

Older galvanized pipe corrodes from the inside. The opening narrows, pressure drops, and the water runs rust colored in the morning. A repair here is sometimes a patch and sometimes a repipe with modern lines, and we'll tell you which one it is, and why, before any work starts.
